This year’s Delaware Farm Bureau Legislative Luncheon was held at Legislative Hall in Dover for the first time. Farm Bureau members, leaders, and staff gathered with elected officials to discuss issues surrounding the ag community. House Bill 63, Farm Vehicle & FT Tags, and program funding for Agland Preservation were just a few of the topics discussed.

Gary Warren (DFB President), Laura Hill (Second Vice President), Jonathan Thompson (First Vice President), Kitty Holtz (Kent County President), & Guy Phillips (Sussex County President) spoke to legislators and asked for their support of various bills that Farm Bureau is watching. The Legislative Luncheon gives officials ways in which they can support Farm Bureau and provides them a chance to interact with their constituents. The luncheon, came just two weeks after Farm Bureau traveled to Washington, D.C. to meet with Delaware’s Congressional Delegation.
